So, I've been so pathetic and trying hard to search and watch online tutorials for doing my own acid wash jeans, but after all of it, I was successful! haha :D I was a bit scared at first 'cause I might ruin everything or I might not get my desired design, so it's important that you do a trial first, maybe on your old jeans you're not using anymore. Soooo, for all those who wants acid wash jeans as well, I'll share you how I did it (and credits too to all those online sites who helped me with these). I revised it a little bit 'cause my first output wasn't really good. I don't like it. But if you're too lazy to do this, you can buy it from the mall. I like the one in Topshop and Terranova. Actually, I can just buy too, but I won't 'cause I'm fucking broke! Unfortunately. COST CUTTING! haha :)) 4000 pesos compared to 35 pesos and few hours???! Deyim!
Moving on... :)
What you need: water, pale (or you can just use the washing machine for soaking), Zonrox, powdered chlorine, gloves (I didn't use on my first trial and my hands smells like fucking eww chlorine! haha) , and your jeans of course. :)
1. Put some water on the pale, not too much, just enough for the jeans to be soaked in.
2. Put the powdered chlorine. The amount depends on how big is your jeans, but if you're just doing it for shorts, 1 tbsp. is enough. Don't heap it. And for jeans, I put 3 tbsp. But it's always important that you experiment to get you're desired design. Just don't put too much 'cause chlorine might make your jeans get loose.
3. You can squeeze a little bit of Zonrox, but this is optional. As what I've said, you can always experiment.
4. Then, just leave it for few hours. But you must check it from time to time 'cause you might overdo it.
5. And lastly, wash the jeans! and voila! You have your diy acid wash denim! :D
Ok. So I hope I did good in explaing. haha :D After drying your jeans, you can rip it a little, then sew it, then rip it again. haha Whatever you want. Just don't use the scissor all the way, it's still better to use your bare hands. It's best to pull the thread one by one. Try to be expiremental and trust me, you'll be glad with your output! You'll love it! ;D
